Adult Foster Care

These clients run an adult foster care and were looking to convert their garage space and an existing bonus room into two new bedrooms. The interior garage area walls were removed, and the garage pad was sealed. The garage door was removed and new framing for an exterior wall was built, sheathed, sided and trimmed/caulked. An exterior door was installed as well as a new egress window. New ledgers and floor joists were installed. Insulation and sub-floor were then installed. New interior walls were built creating the two bedrooms with closets,as well as an entry hallway, drywalled and textured. New cadet electric wall heaters and outlets were installed per code as well as new recessed lighting. LVP was installed in the new areas. A hallway closet was built, and all doors were hung and trimmed along with baseboard. The interior was then painted in place. Lastly, a small entry stoop was built. The clients were planning on repainting their house in the next year and wanted to hold off on exterior paint.
